People getting their bending forcibly taken away makes me feel uncomfortable on a deep emotional level that’s incredibly difficult for me to articulate. The only thing I can compare it to is how Flowers for Algernon made me feel when Charlie started to lose his intelligence. I hate it I hate it I hate it it’s terrible.

Yes, augh, this so hard. That is a good parallel, there. Fuck FfA makes me so sad. Losing an integral part of your Self, a part you are proud of and spend hours working on and have a spiritual connection with-that shit sucks beyond all measure. It is terrifying.
